James E. Murphy is one of the country's most experienced and accomplished marketing and communications executives with broad experience in numerous areas of specialization:

He is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Murphy & Co., the Greenwich-based management consulting firm specializing in corporate marketing, communications and internet services.

He is also the Retired Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Accenture, the world's leading management consulting and technology services firm and the former Chief Communications Officer of Merrill Lynch, Beatrice and Owens Corning, as well as the former Chairman and CEO of the America's operations of Burson/Marsteller, one of the world's leading public relations firms.

Recent assignments for Jim and M&Co. include a two year role as brand advisor to Citigroup's management; the naming and market positioning strategy for the then newly-merged company, Thomson/Reuters; re-branding of Robert Half, the world's leading staffing company and the market repositioning of the Fluor Corporation, one of the world's largest engineering and construction firms. Other assignments include corporate positioning strategies for Protiviti, the Robert Half division that specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley issues; and Duff and Phelps, the financial advisory firm.

In his role at Accenture, Jim headed the company's Global Marketing & Communications Business Practice, comprising 500 professionals worldwide. The business practice manages all of Accenture's marketing and communications activities, including image and market development, public relations, advertising, branding, events and meetings, thought leadership communications, and internal communications. Jim led the effort to rebrand and reposition Accenture, after the predecessor firm, Andersen Consulting, won an extended arbitration battle to separate from Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting. The rebranding effort won widespread recognition for the company and Jim.

Jim has been recognized extensively during his career, including the Public Relations Professional of the Year Award from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA); selection to the Hall of Fame of the prestigious Arthur W. Page Society, the Alexander Hamilton Award of the Institute of Public Relations and the Marsteller Marketing Leadershiip Award from Business Week Magazine. He has received numerous Silver Anvils from PRSA for programs he has managed or overseen and has been recognized by professional publications as the Marketer of the Year and one of the top 25 newsmakers in a five year period.

Jason Murphy drives the direction and growth of the US, European and Asia-Pacific operations of Murphy & Co. As a veteran of the new media industry, Jason capitalizes upon his solid foundation in strategic market planning by applying it to the constantly advancing technology of the Internet.

Jason applied his innovative vision and diverse global management expertise to lead the development and implementation of the 80/20 Customer Retention Process, a highly effective, proprietary, in-depth customer satisfaction tool that transforms key findings into solid client loyalty and retention initiatives.

Jason works closely with the firm's market research professionals to assure consistent, high quality, and reliable standards are maintained for all phases of process deliverables.

Mark Gordon heads up the client services team and directs all business development initiatives for Murphy & Co.

For the last few years, Mark has been successfully managing interactive client engagements for Fluor Corporation, Citi, Dorel Juvenile Products, Robert Half, Accenture and Morgan Stanley. Mark helped manage effective marketing strategies with a number of important Murphy & Co. clients, including Fluor, Duff & Phelps, Robert Half International, and Protiviti. In each of these engagements, Mark led an experienced Murphy team in examining and refocusing the clients' interactive offerings in accordance with new branding and positioning.

At the core of Mark's service philosophy is an attention to detail and to what the client is trying to communicate to their major markets. At Fluor, for example, Mark initiated a top-to-bottom review of the existing corporate website, finding ways for it to better reflect the client's service strengths and identity as a deliverer of some of the world's toughest projects. Service enhancements devised at Fluor.com under Mark's oversight included an a robust project section utilizing Google Maps interface, video presentations narrated by the company CEO, and a library of Fluor engineering and construction technology IP.

Mark brings with him more than 20 years of high-level marketing communications experience in multiple industries, including management consulting, finance, consumer electronics, automotive, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology, and food service/QSR. Over the last ten years, Mark has concentrated on helping companies develop their digital presences. He has launched online more than ten consumer electronics including virtual feature demos. He also worked with a multi-disciplinary team to create and implement a change management plan for a new $100 million global knowledge management initiative.

Throughout his career, Mark has demonstrated an aptitude both for building existing brands and for launching and nurturing new brands. In addition to the roster of Murphy clients mentioned above, he has worked with such world-renown clients as Chrysler, Coca-Cola, Panasonic, KPMG, Pepsi-Cola, Sony, The Keebler Company, The NutraSweet Company, Dunkin Donuts, and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Thom Smith heads the Technology Group of Murphy & Co. His duties include both oversight and supervision of a highly sophisticated programming team responsible for numerous award-winning websites. He also runs planning and strategy in the development of Murphy & Co.'s technology capabilities.

Most recently, Thom has taken on a key marketing role in developing social media applications for sites such as Facebook.com.

Over the last twelve years at Murphy & Co., Thom has honed a unique ability to take a company's IT business needs and transform them into elegant, robust solutions. He has a history of building analytical tools and custom reporting applications that provide our clients with flexibility as well as meaningful results. With his deep knowledge of application architecture and database design, Thom is able to leverage our clients' existing data in new and more useful ways.

Key clients Thom has worked for during his time at Murphy & Co. include Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Fluor, and Burson-Marsteller. Prior to his work at Murphy & Co., Thom worked for the FNX Radio Network in Boston, Massachusetts where he re-launched the company's website and was responsible for creating several highly interactive applications geared towards driving traffic to the station's website.

Thom graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA with a B.A. in visual and media arts. He lives in Connecticut with his English Bulldog, Roger. In addition to his Murphy & Co. work, Thom enjoys music and music technology.

Helping raise the profile of nationally-known brands has been a hallmark in Warren J. "Jay" Smith's professional career. As Murphy & Company's Managing Director, Jay combines that extensive marketing communications knowledge with Murphy's commitment for harnessing the appropriate technologies and applications in serving the marketing needs of its clients.

Prior to joining Murphy & Co., Jay was Director of Marketing Public Relations at Eric Mower and Associates & PriceMcNabb, where he directed critical agency partnerships with Starbucks Coffee Company and Motorola. Before that, Jay was Vice President at Cohn & Wolfe in New York City where he helped lead the U.S. Army and The PGA of America relationships. He began his marketing career as a Client Service Manager with Burson-Marsteller's flagship New York office. Jay worked in constituency service and communications for U.S. Senator Bob Graham during his post-graduate studies.

Jay holds a masters degree in political science/campaign management from Florida State University, and a B.A. in political science from Rollins College. Born and bred in Greenwich, Connecticut, Jay now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and two children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golf and biking.

Henry Luk splits his time in China between two businesses, a movie studio called ACE catering to Western companies shooting feature films in China and Murphy China, a full-time team of programmers and quality assurance technicians dedicated to worldwide clients of Murphy and Company.

Prior to returning to China in the late 1990's, Luk ran a hedge fund on Wall Street focusing on arbitraging between worldwide markets on metals, interest rates, currencies and stocks. His client list ranges from American International Group to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, from Virginia State Pension Fund to Guangdong Finance Limited.

Luk graduated from Columbia University, New York with two degrees, an MBA and an undergraduate degree in English.

Skip Morse is Murphy & Co.'s lead executive responsible for managing and delivering the firm's 80/20 Customer Retention ProcessSM.

In his role at Murphy & Co., Skip has interviewed over 3,000 business executives charged with overseeing the growth and profitability of companies in diverse industries. His major specialty is helping clients enhance business relationship performance and value as well as identifying new business opportunities.

With more than 25 years' experience in strategic planning, marketing, sales, customer service and retention and corporate communications, Skip has nurtured and successfully guided the business and marketing development programs of leading companies within the financial services, retailing, health care, information technology, consumer packaged goods, industrial manufacturing and marketing services industries.

Prior to joining Murphy & Co, Skip was Senior Executive Vice President in charge of marketing, new business development and corporate communications for Citytrust, then the largest independent bank in Connecticut, since acquired by JP Morgan Chase. He has also been a senior executive at a diversified international industrial conglomerate and a principal in a leading marketing and communications management firm.

Since joining Murphy & Co., in 1998, Skip continues to collaborate with senior executives in number of global companies, including Accenture, Bayer, BMO Bank of Montreal, Campbell's, Hilton, Keurig Green Mountain, Mattel, Merck, Microsoft, Panasonic, Pfizer, Sam's Club, Tyson Foods, Valvoline, Wendy's, WPP, Xerox and Young & Rubicam, Inc.

Tara Carter oversees Murphy & Co.'s research-based projects. An excellent communicator with over 20 years in the research industry, Tara's analytical focus and crisp, easily digestible presentations help clients understand how they can better engage with their target audience.

A member of Murphy & Co. for over 14 years, Tara leads a team that covers a wide range of research capabilities, from market research analysis that includes primary qualitative and quantitative market research, including focus groups, surveys, interviews, observations and segment experiments; secondary research; inferential data analysis; SEO insight; PPC oversight and optimization; data mining; website/market segment analysis; website user behavior analysis; goal funnel analysis; and digital marketing and performance analysis.

Tara prides herself on her ability to engage with clients, helping them understand where their web-marketing initiative is achieving success - and where it is not. Her work is not only in reviewing results, but identifying online marketing benchmarks, goals, and key performance indicators up front so that the client is armed with the right set of expectations going into an engagement. She is extremely sensitive to client deadlines and other needs, and can furnish them with thorough reports and analysis that identify key data points in an engagingly visual way.

Tara has worked extensively with a number of world-leading corporations who have been Murphy & Co. clients, including Accenture, Citi, Fluor, Dorel, Protiviti, Forbes and Wells Fargo. Before joining Murphy & Co, she headed a research-based project aimed at increasing organ-donation rates, with marked success.

Tara graduated from Cornell University with a science and mathematical focus. She lives in Connecticut with her three children.

For over 7 years having focused on technology development, Eddie provides interactive strategy and multiple platform solutions that can help clients build up brands and recommend E-Commerce platforms.

Eddie is experienced on CSS, JS, .Net, SQL server, MySql, MOSS, WCF, Flash(AS3.0), Sliverlight, Microsoft enterprise library, LinQ, Know well in iBatis, Nhibernate, MVC etc. He and his team members cover a wide range of Web application capabilities, including client requirements analysis, data model research, solution planning, interactive demos, summary of design , development planning, project implement, security & risk management, project maintenance.

Eddie has worked extensively with a number of world-leading corporations who have been Murphy & Co. clients, including Accenture, Citi, Fluor, and Dorel. Before joining Murphy & Co, he worked for an interactive customs declaration service platform in Guangzhou(China) . He and his team built the system for the Chinese government, with which companies declare goods information to Yangpu(Hainan) Customs. He was responsible for creating several interactive applications geared towards declaration(included BS & CS method) and shipping management(e-map solution) to the station's website.

Eddie graduated from ZhongKai University of Agriculture and Engineering in Guangzhou, with a B.A. in Computer Science. Besides his Murphy Co. work, Eddie is also interested in cooking and drawing pictures.

Paul Drew is a senior graphic designer at Murphy & Co. who specializes in PowerPoint presentations. His other focus areas with our firm include project management, Photoshop and quality assurance.

Before joining Murphy & Co., Paul worked in Accenture's Creative Services department, providing quality graphics assistance to the company's various operational groups. Paul is well versed in adhering to the brand management rules and standards for some of the world's most recognized companies.

In addition to client-facing proposals, Paul's work at Murphy frequently involves presentations to CEO, boards of directors, and other high-profile audiences, presenting timely information in an engaging manner.

Paul lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Frances and their two cats, Randy Bachman and Panzy. His interests include photography and collecting vintage books and magazines.

Paul attended Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, where he studied film.

Eric helps his clients get the best return on their strategic use of marketing technology. A combination of agency and client-side experience enables Eric to create realistic plans that achieve measurable results.

His diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C clients has included Fluor Corporation, Citi, Accenture, Dorel Juvenile Group, and Robert Half International. Eric enjoys the opportunity to learn about his clients' varied industries and to help tailor customized solutions to meet their business goals.

In addition to business analysis and strategy formation, Eric has a role in account management and overseeing project execution. At Murphy & Co., Eric has worked with nearly every major interactive tactic, including large website launches, mobile apps and mobile sites, SMS, social media, email, advertising, and search marketing.

A cum laude graduate of Harvard University, Eric performed post-baccalaureate work in computer science at Columbia University. He later earned two degrees that reflect his dual commitment to business and interactive media: an MA in Digital Graphics from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Pace University, each awarded with honors.

With over 10 years of experience in technology, Joe divides his time between student, developer, and team leader. He believes student is his most important role as it keeps him focused on the latest technologies available to Murphy & Co. clients.

Joe's ability to architect the most clean, flexible, and modular solution within the context of the current problem or project scope make him a vital member of the Murphy & Co. team. His projects have included delivering web applications for a variety of clients such as Fluor Corporation, Duff & Phelps, Robert Half International, Dorel Juvenile Group, Fuller Brush, and Citi.

Joe has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Connecticut where he also ran varsity Cross Country and Track & Field. An avid music fan, Joe enjoys playing guitar and listening to jazz in his free time.

Gyasi Grey is Murphy & Co.'s lead developer. He builds new sites and mobile apps, maintains and adds functionality to existing web and mobile-based projects on behalf of Murphy & Co. clients. Gyasi's technical knowledge and need to do it right produce products that achieve client's needs.

Gyasi's understanding of Murphy & Co.'s technical abilities and resources, and his determination in working through knotty problems to deliver superb results, make him a vital member of the Murphy & Co. team. His experience in designing, developing, and deploying web applications includes a strong understanding of multiple programming languages and computer technologies.

In the last few years, Gyasi has worked on several major mobile initiatives for Murphy & Co. clients. These include building a mobile app for client Robert Half which allows users to run job searches, compare salary opportunities, and find nearby Robert Half offices through their Android or iPhone device. Gyasi also advised Safety 1st mobile app that works as an e-Baby Book. Gyasi was also involved in the development of a special iPad app used for an important meeting of the Citi Board of Directors. Gyasi was instrumental in building the Murphy & Co intranet site which is used by most Murphy employees daily and is necessary to daily business.

A graduate of Howard University with a BS in computer science, Gyasi has been involved with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in several capacities, including president of the Howard University chapter. In his spare time, Gyasi plays fighting games semi-competitively and builds computer video games.

Joanna Holden has been active in creative direction, integrated communication design and brand development for over 14 years. She has created elegant, innovative, and functional designs for a wide variety of clients in a broad range of media. Since each project is different, design challenges are always approached with a fresh perspective, in order to create solutions that are stunning, unique, and which exceed expectations.

She specializes in the creation of professional, customized and creative design solutions. Her vast marketing background, agency experience and design proficiency enables her to understand your business needs and deliver high-quality, timely products and services with integrity.

Wendy Johnson is a graphic designer at Murphy & Co. who specializes in PowerPoint presentations and design work in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Before joining Murphy & Co., Wendy worked in Accenture's Creative Services department, where she both managed and developed client-facing and internal websites for the international consulting company. The internal sites helped Accenture move toward a virtual work environment.

Wendy's diverse background includes earning a certificate in field archeology in Israel, production and editing work on a variety of documentary films, and publishing a novel. She is conversant in both Urdu and Hindi.

Wendy attended the University of Minnesota, where she received an MA in South Asian Languages and Literature, and the Anthropological Film Center in Santa Fe, where she studied documentary filmmaking.

Wendy lives in New York with her husband Albert and their cat and dog. Current interests include video production and writing.

JR is a seasoned interactive marketing professional with experience across many brands and product types. While he started out in traditional marketing, he has specialized in managing website and microsite builds, implementing email campaigns, monitoring social media campaigns and managing brand development.

At Murphy & Co, he was a key player in various projects such as timely implementation of Accenture's microsites development and marketing initiatives, overall management of the Fuller Brush Co.'s site re-launched in 2011, main point person in the Robert Half's global brand architecture and repositioning in 2013 and various website implementation and development for Fluor Corp., Citi, and AMECO projects.

JR has managed numerous Global companies with local operations: MTV, Unilever, Carrier, and HSBC; as well as major corporations in the Philippines: San Miguel Corp., Metrobank, Globe Telecoms and Umobile. All his experiences in the Philippines focused more on traditional advertising, integrated marketing communication and digital implementation.

In addition to his MBA from Hult International Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, JR has a bachelor's degree in humanities and integrated marketing communications from the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is currently based in Connecticut and loves working at the Greenwich office. He enjoys cooking or going to New York City during the weekends.

Graham Metcalfe brings over 20 years' experience as a design professional to Murphy & Co. After building his professional foundation as an award-winning art director with Apple Computer, Graham developed design solutions and information architecture for such nationally recognized companies as Adobe Systems, National Geographic, Addison-Wesley, Intuit, Washington Mutual and Electronic Arts. As a Creative Director at Murphy & Co. for the past 7 years, he has worked on design solutions and strategies for some of our largest clients including Fluor, Accenture and Citi.

With a comprehensive background in both user experience design and information architecture, Graham brings a wealth of experience in creating design solutions that are both user-centric and developer-friendly. His experience encompasses design for multiple delivery platforms, from industry-standard CMS systems, portal, and social networking solutions to custom ecommerce installations.

He brings an extensive background and knowledge of web marketing and merchandising techniques through years of design and architecture for both boutique and high-volume ecommerce sites.

Graham's diverse background includes design and art director for both print and interactive media, corporate identity, product design, and packaging and information architecture. His work as a product designer has been widely published and featured on the Ford Communications Network. Graham has a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from the University of California.
